Lex Arca — The Legal Vault

From Kim’s Chair

I did not build Lex Arca™ Legal Vault from a whiteboard, and I did not build it from inside the legal profession. I built it from a chair — the client’s chair — in a conference room, in a deposition, in the in-between moments of a lawsuit where no one was watching me as closely as I was watching them.

I sat on the other side of the table during litigation and watched something the legal industry rarely says out loud: confidential files stored on platforms never built for legal work, discovery evidence slowed down by systems too sluggish to matter in the moment that mattered, and not a single piece of private infrastructure where attorney and client could work without a third party standing between them. The attorney across from me was a brilliant legal mind. The judgment was sound. The infrastructure underneath that judgment was not.

I was not an attorney. I was a client who understood systems and technology, and I could see exactly where the system was breaking — not from negligence, but from the absence of tools that should have existed and didn’t.

So I built it. In roughly thirty days, alone I built the platform I should have had on the other side of that table. That platform is Lex Arca™ Legal Vault.

What is Lex Arca™ Legal Vault

Lex Arca™ Legal Vault is an AI-native litigation intelligence and compliance platform built specifically for solo attorneys and small litigation firms — the practices that compete on preparation, precision, and instinct rather than the leverage of a hundred-person team.

It brings together the capabilities every litigation practice needs but rarely has working together, under one architecture:

Neural Strategist Case-specific strategic analysis grounded exclusively in your own case record, never in generic training data and never in patterns drawn from unrelated matters.

Neural Sentinel A jurisdictional compliance gate that applies a single, platform-wide standard to every AI-assisted output, producing a Verification Attestation aligned to ABA Formal Opinion 512 and an append-only, tamper-evident activity trail — documented and verifiable, automatically.

Neural Librarian HUD Semantic document retrieval that surfaces the exact passage you need — not a list of files, but the specific sentence — within seconds. Built for the courtroom, the deposition room, and the case review that can’t wait until morning.

Neural Billing Cryptographically time-stamped time capture tied to actual file-access events, the moment work happens — not reconstructed from memory at invoice time. Every entry is documented and verifiable, backed by an Expert Billing Attestation PDF when you need to stand behind it.

Local-First Private Vault Built on a BYOS (bring your own stack) architecture. Lex Arca™ is architecturally excluded from your firm’s data — not by policy, not by contract, but by design. Your case files, your client data, and your AI inference stay inside your own infrastructure.

Built for the Firms That Compete on Skill

Enterprise legal technology was built for enterprise firms — firms with dedicated IT, trial tech teams, and the budget to match. Solo practitioners and small litigation firms were left to piece together workflows from tools that were never designed for how they actually work, and were never designed for the compliance obligations now attached to that work.

Lex Arca™ Legal Vault closes that gap. The same caliber of intelligence infrastructure that once required an entire trial technology team is now available to the attorney who walks into court alone — and stands as prepared as anyone in the room. I built this for the roughly 400,000 solo and small-firm litigators that enterprise legal AI was never priced or designed to reach.

Advisory Network

Lex Arca’s Legal Vault advisory structure includes active members of the judicial and legal professional communities, who have informed the platform’s real-world litigation workflow requirements. These advisory relationships are maintained in confidence, consistent with applicable professional ethics obligations.

A Note on How This Publication Is Written

The Legal Vault Insider is written with the assistance of AI tools — because we believe in practicing what we preach. The ideas, the insights, and the perspective behind every article are grounded in the real observations and experience that built this platform. AI is the instrument. The point of view is ours.

Kim Harris is the Founder & Platform Architect of Lex Arca Legal Vault, an AI-native litigation intelligence and compliance platform purpose-built for solo practitioners and small litigation firms. She built the platform in approximately 30 days as a solo founder — live SaaS product, compliance infrastructure, and AI-powered document retrieval from the ground up, with no co-founder, no engineering team, and no outside capital.

Kim’s career spans in enterprise systems that provided her with strategic planning skills. She completed Cornell’s Women’s Entrepreneur Program, received the SBA Women in Business Champion Award, holds five Google AI certifications, and maintains a seven-app independent development portfolio. She is WOSB certified. Lex Arca Legal Vault was conceived from firsthand observation of attorney workflow failure during active litigation — founder-market fit that no competitor can replicate.
